Letters from readers and career baseball people are solid endorsements for this unique baseball book.

"Thanks for Go Pro Baseball Wise. My son wants to play pro baseball and this is the first baseball book we've found that answers our questions. It's dog-eared already. He and I focused on how to get scouted, the draft, agents, and the Minor Leagues. His mom wants the Baseball College Scholarship Plan in his first pro contract. We urge everyone thinking about professional baseball to get this book." — A father in Oklahoma

A collegian from Louisville, Kentucky: I received your book last week and I am really enjoying it. I bought it because I wanted information on baseball contract negotiations. It doesn t answer my questions completely, but I'm still enjoying it. I am working on a negotiations project for my final MBA project. I chose baseball because my family loves baseball and my nephew who still plays in college has thought about going pro. He gets the book when I am done. I am so glad you signed the inside cover! He will love that. I talk about your book at the games all the time so now there are several baseball dad fans that want the book. I think you offer great advice to the young men wanting to enter the sport professionally. Just wanted to say thanks.

A mother in the Pacific Northwest: I ordered your book last week off the Internet. It came in the mail two days later. I found the book by accident and I had been looking for a book of this type for the past year. My son is 16 and just finished a great season in Connie Mack. There were many scouting opportunities for him as a pitcher, but as the season progressed, many worries for a parent. I had a million questions and nowhere to find the answers! I have read the whole book now and strongly feel that it isn't getting enough press. I am sure there are many parents suffering from the "I don't know" syndrome just like me. My son has wanted to play professional ball his whole life. For years (and he has been playing since age 5) it was a favorite topic in our house and his dream. After reading the book and getting what I would consider a "baseball education" I think that I am prepared for the next two years in regards to what I can expect in terms of who's who and also so we don't get caught up with the wrong people. We belong to a baseball academy in the Pacific Northwest and I am going to order a couple of copies for them to have in the reception area. This is a great service you have provided for the baseball community! My son is now reading the book and couldn't believe what you have put into the book. He now knows that "The Dream" is closer to becoming a reality for him. Hats off to you and all the wonderful people that helped to make this book possible. The personal "Best Wishes" in the front of the book can make an aspiring young pitcher rise to the occasion. I have always believed that it is our job as parents to support our children in whatever they choose, thank you for making it easier for BASEBALL PARENTS!

A father in Illinois: I'm writing to say that this is the best book on baseball I've read to date. Truly informative and well written. It's obvious a lot of work and research went into this effort. I know this information will help with my son's future baseball plans. Thanks for a great book!

A father in Nevada: You really did a great job with this book. I only paid $14.95 plus shipping, but the info in the book is worth a million bucks! My son is a high school junior and baseball is his passion. Each night at the dinner table we discuss a topic from the book, such as 'signability,' 'college vs. pro,' etc. I really can't say we've read the book, it's more like we devoured and almost memorized it. Thanks!

Customer Review from Amazon.com: It could be called a "career handbook" for players and fans. There's a lot of books out there ABOUT baseball and its players. Go Pro BASEBALL WISE is a baseball book BY its players. This book doesn't focus on baseball's greatest moments, the endless comparison of stats, or the controversy of sod over turf. In fact, there's no mention of any game in particular. What is in this book is baseball discussing baseball as a career. Author PJ Dragseth made a tremendous effort to interview a wide variety of baseball people across the country, from Hall of Fame players to rookies. He talked to some of the greatest players in the game. As a result, his book not only entertains, but could accurately be called a "baseball career handbook" for those who love baseball as well as for those who want to play the game professionally.

A reader from California: Great info--great fun--great book--great gift! I've never played baseball but the game fascinates me and I read everything I can get my hands on. WOW! This book was a great surprise. It is one of the most informative baseball books I've ever read. So many people from the game talk about this career from different perspectives. Since reading it, I look at players differently, with a kind of appreciation of what they go through. It's an easy read and lots of fun. I felt like I was talking with such baseball giants as Frank Robinson, Andre Dawson, Bob Feller, Mark Grace, Robin Ventura and, well, that list of names is long and reads like a who's who of baseball. It's one of those rare books where you read along, have a great time, then realize you're learning a lot at the same time. It definitely lives up to its name and kids who want to go pro really should have it as a reference. My copy was a gift. Now all my friends are getting one for Christmas. FIVE STARS for sure!
